Are you grateful for your life? Do you ever feel you’re not good enough for something or someone. Do you take care of others more than you take care of yourself?

I’ve read and read and I am told to appreciate myself,my body,my mind. But don’t we all read about practicing healthy self care and end up doing nothing at all? We promise to take care of our bodies and our minds, but we never really come out of the spiral, that’s our beautiful mind.

Start from today? Start from questioning yourself little things. Have you eaten? If not, do that right now. Are you hydrated enough? Did you get enough sleep last night? If not, what’s keeping you awake at night?

Do you have people who spread nothing but toxicity in your life? Cut them off immediately. I’ve personally cut off some of my very close friends, people I’ve loved, when I realise they’re getting toxic for me. Did it help? Ofcourse it did. And are you being toxic for someone? There’s absolutely no excuse for being a bad person.

We often tend to practice unhealthy mechanisms when we try to escape or find relief,or avoid dealing with the thoughts that causes our anxiety. Dive into the things that make you feel better. Read more books, paint, make your own meals, listen to your favorite playlists, dance your heart out, spend time with flowers.

Unfollow/ mute all the people or pages that make you feel uncomfortable on your social media. You should be careful about the kind of content you’re looking at,the kind of content you believe in. There are so many people who try to make the internet a happier, safer and kinder place to be and also help people to be more aware of everything that happens in the world.

Treat your body right. Take a hot shower, moisturize yourself, wear clean underwear, wear something that you’re comfortable in and surround yourself with sunlight, journals and laughter. The world will be a better place to be in.

Journal. This is one habit I’ve picked recently and I cannot begin to tell you how satisfied I feel everytime I close my journal after pouring out my feelings. Write your journal today, you will come home to yourself,I promise. You’ll heal, and you’ll feel freer. If you supress your emotions a lot, deconstruct thoughts, people and their words a lot, like I do, pick up your pen and start writing.

Set small goals and head over to the big ones when you’re ready. Be kind to yourself and to your soul. And tell me three things that you’re grateful for? 😁
